PHARRELL WILLIAMS DEBUTS FOR “LOUIS VUITTON”

Pharrell Williams' debut as creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton was spectacular, heralding a new era for the legendary French fashion house. The American artist closed the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, where the show took place at sunset with over 70 looks modeled by some familiar faces, including designer Stefano Pilati.
When Williams was named as the successor to the late Virgil Abloh, debate erupted over his appointment. Although not a formally trained fashion designer, the 13-time Grammy winner has been shaping culture, from music to fashion, for more than two decades. This isn't Williams' first foray into design—in 2003, he collaborated with Marc Jacobs (then head of Louis Vuitton) and Japanese designer Nigo for sunglasses that became some of the brand's best sellers. Other collaborations followed - with Moncler , long-standing partnerships with Adidas and Chanel, including a capsule collection he designed with the late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

“NIKE” WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY IN ATHLETE CLOTHING

Nike has introduced Aerogami, a new technology used in sportswear that improves air permeability for athletes. The system adapts itself to the needs of the users, providing them with good air circulation. The new technology uses moisture-reactive vents that open and close based on the detection of sweat on the body.
Nike jacket “Run Division Aerogami” is the first product to incorporate this innovation. It is designed to meet the challenges of athletes in temperature regulation. Developed by Nike Explore Team” (NXT) and “Nike Sport Research Lab” (NSRL) and features Nike's “Storm -FIT ADV” for wind and rain protection.
Nike women's jacket “Run Division Aerogami” will be available in July 2023, while the men’s version will be released later in the fall.

“PLEASING” WITH FIRST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Pleasing brand has appointed Sean Kearney as its first CEO, effective July 17. His focus will be on "developing exciting, strategic and charitable partnerships", according to the company. He will work alongside creative directors Harry Lambert, also Styles' stylist, and Molly Hawkins .
"We are delighted to have Shawn join the team at Pleasing . His exceptional vision and extensive experience will be invaluable. We're excited to continue exploring ideas, categories and characters with him," shared the British singer-songwriter. Kearney will leave her role as chief design and merchandising officer at Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, where she started six years ago as senior vice president of fashion .
