„Pucci” with new designer

Emilio Pucci publicly confirmed the rumors that Matthew Williamson will quit the brand after the lapse of the three-year agreement in October this year.

He will be replaced by the ex-designer of “Emanuel Ungaro” – Peter Dundas who according to Pucci possesses creative talent and personality, corresponding to the spirit of „Pucci”.

There are rumors that after his three-years practice as art director, Williamson has ambitions to create his own brand.

Armani with giant in Milan

The biggest luxurious boutique of Giorgio Armani recently opened doors in Milan. The home of old of the famous Milan poet Carlo Porta in „Palazzo Taverna” is transformed in big store, extended at 3 floors and area of 2 000 square meters.

Its interior is wholly in the spirit of Armani and it is well-appointed with furniture of the brand.

”Steve & Barry’s” closes 103 stores

The American multiple stores „Steve & Barry’s” that offers brand clothes at low and accessible prices, expects to close 103 stores till the end of October this year. Before month „Steve & Barry’s” became a property of the holding „BHY Holdings LHC” (Bay Harbour and York Capital).

„Steve & Barry’s” announced bankrupt in July this year, caused by the confrontation between the big plans of growth and the low selling in the summer season. To keep its incomes, the multiple expects to close almost the half of its boutiques and to concentrate its business only in 173 stores. The multiple is famous with the fact that it distributes the line for clothes “Bitten” of Sarah Jessica Parker.

The best paid business ladies in London

According to a research, published in the London newspaper „Guardian”, the executive director of „Burberry” Angela Ahrends is the best paid woman executive director of the Kingdom. The research includes the directors of the 350 biggest companies in the list of the London stock exchange. According to the research that is made at official data for the incomes of the executive directors of the companies, the annual remuneration of Ahrends for one year to March 2008 amounts to 42 million of pounds. The incomes of the brand for the same period amount to over $271 million.
